Abstract

Emergence of dual-powered automated tyre inflators marks a transformative shift in vehicle maintenance, offering a versatile and sustainable solution for tyre inflation. This review critically examines the evolution, design principles, and operational efficiency of hybrid-powered (electric and manual) automated inflators, focusing on their ability to combine convenience with environmental responsibility. The study investigates key technological components, including intelligent pressure sensors, automated shut-off mechanisms, and energy-efficient power systems, which enhance accuracy and user experience. A comparative analysis of conventional and dual-powered inflators reveals significant advantages in terms of portability, reduced energy dependency, and operational reliability under diverse conditions. Furthermore, the paper explores the economic and ecological impact of these systems, demonstrating their potential to minimize carbon footprints while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Despite notable progress, challenges such as battery longevity, mechanical robustness, and market accessibility are discussed, alongside proposed innovations for future development. By consolidating research and industry trends, this review provides valuable insights into the advancements and future trajectory contemporary of dual-powered automated tyre inflators, positioning them as a pivotal innovation in smart and sustainable automotive care.
